Before I get into this project’s post and links, I want to preview the next word: kindness. If you know of relevant resources or people I should highlight, reply to this newsletter. I’ll finish that project next weekend.
ALPHA BITS
You can find the post for jam here and also on the homepage. And now for the quick bits:
I completed this project last weekend (on time!), but am writing about it now due to my workload. Jamming quickly on a project whose theme was “jam” certainly felt thematically aligned
There’s a lot I jammed into the illustration and you can read it bit more about that on the site
I made a gem of a jam about jam made with some jam (jar) so do check out the site for a silly listen
CONNECTION(S)
This section is for my email friends and isn’t found on the Alpha Projects website. I hope you find something that inspires you.
Jam on! “How to jam live online with friends” led me to Endlesss app and then I used it for my J is for Jam project
Be inspired by Jam Project 2020 where first year students in Character Animation and CG Arts teamed up and created a 30 second short film based on a soundtrack as a starting point
Attend these jams when you can: CraftJam, Wednesday Web Jam, Global Service Jam…
Read about JAM, a revolutionary New York gallery that existed as a platform from 1974 to 1986 to showcase contemporary African-American art
Appreciate this story about the “Space Jam” website and revisit the 1996 website while you await the “Space Jam” sequel’s July release and its soundtrack
Be awed by an artist who hacked Google Maps and created a traffic jam with 99 phones and a little red wagon
Wonder no more: Why Every Kid in America Learns to Play the Recorder
The next word is kindess! Send me ideas on who or what to highlight next. In the meantime, you can also read A thru I (forgive the bad nav!) on the Alpha Projects website.
Thanks for reading! If you think this might interest someone you know, pass it along. :)
