Newsletters for the letters T-Y feature subscribers who each volunteered to adopt a letter, select a word, explore the topic with a project, and then write about the experience. If you want details on the why and how behind this, check out the Quest post.
With that, I want to introduce Susie who has chosen x-factor as her word. Susie and I first connected through the NYC Service Design Meetup and have continued fascinating conversations as friends. I hope you enjoy her project and writing as much as I do!
ALPHA BITS
You can find the full post for x-factor here and also on the homepage. Here’s more info on Susie’s project:
As always, see the site to understand the inspiration behind the illustration.
Susie’s first exploration of x-factor included a clever creative coding project (and makes me want to explore p5.js).
She then pivoted to prototyping a storytelling booth to capture her parents’ essence. Both of my parents passed away years ago so I see the value in preserving these kind of stories. Like Susie’s parents, my fiancé’s mother and father are older so I'm interested in collecting their memories.
